Increased Sensitivity

Increased Balance

Reduction of Line Trouble

It is one of the most important factors in lure fishing, by attracting the target fish with lures (artificial bait) and feeling the reaction through the rod.
For that sensitivity, anglers make a lot of investment.
They buy rods with high-elastic blanks, use a higher quality line, and sometimes fine tune by increasing the number of guides.

  • The performance of the rod varies greatly with the setting of the guide even with the same blank.
  • KIGAN has been constantly making hypotheses about the relationship between the ability of the rod and the guide, and has tried to theorize it by proving it.
  • Many tests have shown that the sensitivity of the rod increases as the fore-end of a rod becomes lighter and the number of guides increases.

However, such a theory requires coming up with a new question and approach the hypothesis by returning to the proposition that [ the performance of the rod can change greatly only with the setting of the guide under the same conditions.]
Is there a way to improve the sensitivity of the rod under the condition of the same number of guides as well as the same number of blanks?

This is a difficult problem, but now we’ll show you the amazing answer using the 5G guide.
Summary

This technique is a guide arrangement method applied to lure fishing by detecting vibration (bite). This arrangement makes it possible to preserve the sensitivity of the rod and its partial rise.

Configuration

In the conventional guide arrangement, attach the KIGAN 5G guide to the specified position instead of the circular guide.

How it works

It is the basis of lure fishing that the vibrations that occur when a fish bites are transferred to the hand through a blank and line. At this time, the feeling of the bite delivered to the line is lost because the line is sagged or not arranged. It converts the lost feeling of the bite into the blank as much as possible and amplifies the feeling of the bite delivered to the blank to ensure a better touch.

Acts to convert the vibration coming into the line from the AG part to the blank. Therefore, the vibration transmitted through the line is converted into the blank, so that a higher vibration (feeling of the bite) is delivered to the hand.

The method enlargement of the 5G AGTS also produces a L width between the AG line (blue) and the normal line (red), which acts as a resistance in the AG part. At this time, the generated resistance is converted into vibration and transmitted to the blank through the guide. This, in turn, allows for a better sense of vibration compared to the conventional guide configurations.

Conditions of the AG guide

The AG guide used in this method works best with a triangular elliptical 5G guide.

The position of the line during casting or action (acts like an existing guide because the line is positioned over a large area)

The position of line when the tension is applied to the line when landing (the line position is located in the narrow groove, the left-right flow is minimized, and the resistance point is increased.)

The degree of repulsion of the blank through mechanical tests by load

The test is conducted under the same conditions except for the guide system. The vibration is recorded when the vibration sensor is attached to the reel seats and one ounce falls freely and stops at a position where it does not touch the floor.

Experimental results show that the vibration energy of “the rod with 5G AGTS guide system” is about 8% to 15% higher than that of “the rod with conventional guide system” .
It also shows that “5G AGTS” is more advantageous in delivering sensitivity than “conventional guiding system” by generating second-order amplitude.
