Limit Of the Circle Ring
A fishing line guide ring is generally formed in such a way that an inner diameter portion is a perfect circle shape, so when casting, a fishing line is released and passes through a guide ring as it rotates along an inner surface of a guide hole of a guide ring.
As a fishing line passes while coming into contact with a front surface of an inner diameter portion, the friction amount when a fishing line passes through a guide hole is subject to the surface of an inner diameter portion, and the abrasion amount of a fishing line increase due to the resistance which occurs due to the friction, so the service time of a fishing line might decrease.

The triangular ring is characterized in that the fishing rod guide hole(2) of a guide ring(1) is formed in such a way that an inner diameter portion is formed in a shape (photo 1) with an outward concave portion(2a) is formed at three divided portions, respectively, in the same shape along an inner surface of it, so a contact length that a fishing line contacts decreases about 30% as compared to the conventional circular guide hole(2). As such, when casting or winding a fishing line, the friction resistance of a fishing line decreases, so it is possible to cast farther and to wide faster.
